Re: Intermittend Starter issues Polo Vivo 1.4. Yes first test the voltage on the signal wire. Secondly supply 12v direct from battery (obviously car in neutral). 2) if there is 12v at signal wire and the starter does not kick when 12v supplied then issue is at the starter. Perfect Power dealer.
N75's are very reliable, most of the time its something else causing the problem. also, if you remove the MAP sensor plug temporarily with the engine idling, you should hear a noticeable change in the exhaust note, then once you re-connect the MAP sensor plug it should go back to normal. this proves the N75 is "alive", however it doesn't mean

This brings us back to the problems of how and when to change gear. The Lupo’s auto-solution doesn’t work too well, and we suspect that, left to their own devices, most Polo TDi drivers will spend too much time in the lower ratios. We found it paid off to operate between 1200 and 1800rpm when accelerating normally. VW should

by joeracer » Wed Feb 16, 2011 12:29 pm. I have an 1.4i mk1 golf. The head has been ported and a new cam and lifters installed. After a bit of very hard driving, I would expect the lifters to make a bit of noise, but this is very hard tick, tick, tick noise. The oil pressure in the head is just above 1 bar and the oil temp is about 110 degrees.
